The Japanese Tea Ceremony, also known as Chado (The Way of Tea), is a highly ritualized Zen art that develops concentration and “perfection of character.” Practitioners of the art study for many years with a tea master in an effort to acquire the skills necessary to perform a ceremony. In February 2020, our sangha was treated to a demonstration of this beautiful art form.
